Born and raised in Dallas, TX, I have always had a fascination in understanding as well as learning the influence we can have on human movement. In 2012, I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Science Studies at Baylor University in Waco, TX. I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2015 from Duke University. During my time at Duke, I served as the Class President for my graduating class, which resulted in gaining valuable time management and managerial skills. I now live in Jacksonville, FL, where I am enrolled in an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency through Brooks/UNF. The program is a post-professional specialization tract with an emphasis on psychomotor and didactic training, research, mentorship, and teaching. The year-long program has confirmed in interest in orthopedics as well as an understanding on the value of continual learning due to the constantly changing landscape of orthopaedic physical therapy. As my career continues, I plan to complete a Fellowship in Manual Therapy as well as join a DPT program as an adjunct professor. Since beginning my education, I have taken a great deal of pride in our profession and strive to continue to advocate for practice rights on the state and national level.
"[Justin] emerged as [a] leader, not by design, but as a result of the respect he affords to, and thereby receives from, those around him." - Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy classmate
